Hello everyone! Another demo from the latest Steam Next Fest. This is Creature Keeper, a monster taming RPG that changes the classic turn-based combat for real time hack and slash action. Just notice that you don’t control the creature, you just capture them and they fight on their. Sadly, the way this demo works is that once you are in, you have 20 minutes to figure things out and try to do your best, so I felt under pressure and couldn’t enjoy it too much. I felt like the game itself is a nice idea, but the demo wasn’t. You capture, oh, wait, no, you BEFRIEND creatures by feeding them with nice food (still no idea about what food is good with what creature), they fight alongside you (up to 2 at the same time), I briefly saw some level ups here and there but not really sure how they were affecting us, there were a few NPC, a few tougher enemy, but I was on the rush, so… Yeah, that’s it. I can probably replay it and try other 20 minutes, but I didn’t like the feeling of having to rush things, so I just left it there (I, honestly, couldn’t even appreciate the pixel art and/or the music).
