The most anticipated World War 1 strategy game in a long time IS HERE, and I’ve played it fully this time! When I played the Great War: Western Front back in February I had quite a lot to say about it, most of all that even though it had a certain charm, it really did feel unfinished. Now, two months later, the game is finally here, and I’ll tell you exactly what has been fixed, and what remains lacking. The fact that we get a new game from the makers of Star Wars: Empire at War is cool on its own, and I truly welcome this development.

No matter the shortcomings detailed in this video, the fact that we get a a World War 1 strategy game is really cool, and I truly hope that we get to see more from these developers in the future as they grow and improve, either with this game itself, or another strategy game entirely.

The Great War Western Front brings some cool new ideas to the genre, first and foremost the persistent battlefield logic. But is this and other features enough to carry the came? Let me know your thoughts on the game so far and this video in the comments
