The void, the power beyond, is drawing on Janets memories to construct these realms. At first James has to make his way through the void’s interpretations of the motel. Further down, the void will pull graveyards from Janet’s memories, the place where Janet finally confessed her true vampiric nature to James. Castle environments call back to Janet’s castle in Transylvania.
